Building tools that help dogs get seen

DoggyData is a set of free, community-powered tools built for shelter volunteers and staff.

Live now

Field Trip Tracker

A live dashboard showing which dogs have had field trips, which ones haven't gone out yet, and who's been waiting the longest. Volunteers can see at a glance who needs to get out most.

Community-Powered Photo Sorter

Volunteers sort shelter dog photos into Hero, Usable, or Toss — helping us figure out which photos actually get people through the shelter doors.

Every sorted photo is data. The more people sort, the clearer the picture becomes about what makes a great shelter photo.

Coming soon

Per-Dog Albums, Auto-Sorted

We're adding dog names to photos so each dog gets their own album. Hero shots first, usable ones after, toss at the back. Staff won't have to dig through hundreds of pics to find a dog's best angle anymore.

Long term

Learning What a Great Shelter Photo Looks Like

As the dataset grows, we'll understand what makes a great shelter photo. Which backgrounds, angles, and moments actually bring people in. That knowledge helps dogs get seen long after this specific tool!

A note on independence 🐾

DoggyData is built by a volunteer, for volunteers. It's not affiliated with any shelter or organization.
